Hello and thanks for visiting. I'm Keith Muir, the man behind Broc.

I'm a hardware engineer by training with a fascination for microelectronics, and motivated to use it for good; for people and the planet that we share.

That motivation led me to found Cytomos Limited, the start-up I led for a decade in bringing to market my PhD research in measuring biology with silicon. Eventually finding its home in biopharmaceutical process control, helping make cancer therapies more accessible.

I started Broc to reconnect with my fascination for microelectronics and to build a better work-life balance. I now work with start-ups and scale-ups who choose to build the future; often pushing CMOS and other nanotechnologies to do new, useful, things.

Independently to my contracting work, I'm an educator in technical topics in microelectronics, and mentor to first-time hardware founders.

I love exploring my beautiful home Scotland and learning her social histories. A Scottish Gaelic learner, I have a penchant for motorsport, and (if you look closely), you may spot me on stage in the rhythm section.

Should you be choosing to build the future and need a safe pair of hands to support your growth, I'd love to hear from you.

Tìoraidh an dràsta,
Keith.
